DECLARATION OF AMATEUR STATUS:
I am the owner or authorized rider of this horse and hereby certify that I have not shown, judged, trained or assisted in training or instructed another person for remuneration in riding or training a horse for a period of two (2) years. (An Amateur may accept prizes, paybacks, or purses for events and maintain amateur status.)

The National Versatility Ranch Horse Association sponsoring participant’s riding in clinics and competition are neither the insurers nor the guarantors of safety of this event and do not assume responsibility for safety of participants, volunteers, or any other persons engaged in the implementation of an event, or of any third persons, including spectators.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THIS ASSUMPTION OF RISK OF INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY.

As a condition of participation in the NVRHA Program and in consideration of being allowed to participate, the Participant,

together with his or her parents or guardian if under the age of 18 years, agrees and acknowledges:

1. To obey all rules of the NVRHA Program and the directions of the clinicians, judges, and other representatives of the

NVRHA organization which sponsors an event.

2. To assume risk of illness, injury and/or property damage arising from known or unforeseeable causes, and releases and

discharges the NVRHA and its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, and the ranch of organization, the event, their officers, directors, representatives, and employees, from any and all liability, whenever or however arising as to illnesses, injury or property damage, occurring as a result of participation in an NVRHA event.

3. Warrants and represents that he or she is a qualified and experienced horseman, adequate to both (a) safely handle Participant’s horse in a manner to protect Participant and other Participants, and (b) participate with groups of riders and horses, such as to take adequate defensive action to avoid injury from third party riders and horses.

4. That it is his or her personal responsibility to ascertain the adequacy of training and experience of Participant and his or her horse for the event and to conduct himself or herself in a manner such as to make the event safe and enjoyable for the undersigned, and all participants.

5. As reciprocal assistance to NVRHA for privilege of membership, participation in approved events, the NVRHA may use any photograph or other form of likeness reproductions of a member, event participant, horse owner or their horses, and registered equine name to promote NVRHA objectives and activities including, but not limited to, use by third parties with authorization from NVRHA.

6. All participants agree to adhere to and follow all CDC and all federal, state and local guidelines regarding COVID 19 & social distancing while participating in NVRHA events.

Under Wyoming law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to 1-1-122-1-1-123. “Definition and Assumption of risk”.

PARTICIPANT HEREBY AFFIRMS THAT HE OR SHE HAS CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTANDS THE FOREGOING RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND THAT NVRHA AND THE OTHER BENEFICIARIES OF THIS RELEASE ARE RELYING ON THIS RECITATION AS A CONDITION OF ALLOWING PARTICIPATION IN NVRHA’S PROGRAM, AND ON PARTICIPANTS SIGNATURE AS AFFIRMING THIS UNDERSTANDING.

FOR PARENTS OF MINOR AGE PARTICIPANT

This is to certify that I as a parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release and assumption of risk as provided above and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless NVRHA and other organizations its sponsoring participant’s, from any and all liabilities incident to my minor child’s involvement or participation in the NVRHA event as provided above.

Multiple options can be chosen within each event. 

By entering the Clinic and Event, you are automatically entered in all of the below classes for the division you selected above and the clinic. No further entering is required.

By entering the Sunday Event, you are entering all 5 classes. If you choose this option, no further entering is needed.

There are no divisions for the Saturday Clinic and this only enters you for the clinic on Saturday. If you would like to enter the event on Sunday, please look at the above options or enter each show event separately.

If you are bringing a stud please contact us so stalls can be set aside for you. This is for the safety of your horse and others.
