VYOA Lesson Program 2026-2027
Our lesson program is open to students who are interested in taking violin, viola, cello, double bass, bassoon, clarinet, oboe, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, and percussion.

The full-year program includes 28 lessons and 2 studio recitals:

$1,320 – 30 minutes ($44/service)

$1,620 – 45 minutes ($54/service)

$1,920 – 60 minutes ($64/service)

Lessons begin the week of September 7. Rates will be prorated to allow for rolling admissions. Please note: Financial aid is available to qualifying families.

Please Note: Make up lessons will be offered for no more than 2 absences (with at least 24 hours notice) per semester. Additional missed lessons will not be rescheduled.

Applying for Financial Aid

The VYOA is committed to ensuring that economic circumstances do not hinder a young person from participating. Generous financial aid support is available to qualifying families demonstrating an annual adjusted gross income up to $120,000.

A separate financial aid application with support materials must be submitted by Friday, June 26, 2026. The 2026-27 online financial aid application can be found at www.vyo.org.
Payment Options
Please choose one of two tuition payment options listed below. Payment can be made via check or credit card/debit card.

Those who choose Option #2, the 50/50 payment plan, only the 50% deposit can be via check. All monthly payments must be made via credit card/debit card.

Tuition Option #1: Full Tuition

$1,320 – 30 minutes ($44/service)

$1,620 – 45 minutes ($54/service)

$1,920 – 60 minutes ($64/service)

Tuition Option #2: 50/50 Payment Plan

Tuition Payment Plan (50% down, then 8 monthly payments, 9/15-4/15). Deposit can be made with check or credit/debit card. Monthly payments must be by credit/debit card. Incl. 4% installment fee, automatically charged to credit/debit card.

$660 – 30 minutes ($44/service); $85.80/month, 9/15/26-4/15/27

$810 – 45 minutes ($54/service); $105.30/month, 9/15/26-4/15/27

$960 – 60 minutes ($64/service); $124.80/month, 9/15/26-4/15/27

Payments by check are due by September, 2026 or tuition will be charged to the credit/debit card on file. Make check payable to "VYOA" and mail to 223 Ethan Allen Avenue, Colchester, VT 05446. Include "Student Name/Lesson Program" in the memo. If you are choosing the 50/50 payment, your monthly payments will be charged to the credit/debit card on file.
