    Scholarship Qualifications & About: 

    The Myra York Smith “Isaiah 40:29” Scholarship celebrates women who have turned faith into strength and adversity into purpose. This scholarship honors young leaders determined to make a name for themselves while uplifting others along the way.

     Eligibility Requirements:


    - Be a graduating high school senior, current college student, or trade/vocational student
    - Plan to pursue higher education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, ministry, public service, or a professional career path
    - Demonstrate leadership, perseverance, and community involvement
    - Submit the required social media video/post entry and written application response

     

    Application Requirements

    Applicants must submit a written response (350-500 words) answering the following:

    -Describe a time you faced adversity or a major challenge in your life.

    -How did you overcome it, and how has that experience shaped the person you are today?

    -If faith played a role in your journey, explain how it impacted your ability to persevere and grow. (Applicants do not have to be religious or identify as a believer to apply.)

    *Please submit your response in PDF format via the submission button below.


    In addition to the written application, applicants must create and submit:


    - A TikTok or Instagram Reel sharing their personal story of perseverance and growth. Please share your story while doing one of your favorite family traditions.
