Restrictions
All paintings will be 24"x30" (vertical or horizontal).
While NSFW/adult/nude content is permitted to a degree, the Artist will not paint scenes of gore, underage people or characters depicted in a sexualized manner, any blatant pornography, or sexualized public figures.
The Artist retains the right to reject any commission request without reason or notice.
Revisions and Approval
A sketch will be provided before any work begins. Once the sketch is approved, the deposit is due and the work will begin.
Progress images will be provided during the painting process.
Minor adjustments such as:
- Color tweaks
- Small detail refinements
- Minor background adjustments
may be requested at any point while the piece is in progress.
Major changes requested after painting has substantially progressed — including pose changes, new references, subject replacement, or compositional redesign — may require additional fees.
Once the Client approves the final artwork preview, no further revisions are included.
Pricing
The commission price includes:
- Original acrylic portrait painting
- At least 2 progress updates
- Up to 4 minor revisions
- Protective varnish coating
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total commission price is required before work begins.
Work will not begin until the deposit has been received.
Final Payment
The remaining balance, including shipping costs and any applicable taxes, is due upon completion and prior to shipment or delivery.
The Artist reserves the right to withhold shipment and transfer of the artwork until full payment has cleared.
Completion
The Artist will make reasonable efforts to complete the commission by the requested completion date. Completion timelines may vary due to:
- Drying time
- Material delays
- Illness or emergency
- Shipping carrier delays
The Artist will communicate any significant delays promptly.
Shipping
Shipping costs, insurance, and handling fees are the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise agreed.
Risk of loss transfers to the Client upon confirmed delivery by the shipping carrier.
The Artist is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping carrier, but will assist with insurance claims when applicable.
Cancellation Policy
If the Client cancels the commission after work has begun:
- The deposit remains non-refundable.
- Additional payment may be required for completed work beyond the deposit amount.
If the Artist cancels the commission before completion:
- All payments (including initial deposit) will be refunded.
Copyright and Reproduction
The Artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights to the artwork unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The Client may display the physical artwork for personal use but may not reproduce, sell prints of, or commercially distribute the image without written permission.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Artist may use images of the artwork for:
- Portfolio display
- Website and social media
- Promotional materials
- Exhibition submissions
