2026 Coach of the Year Award

Equestrian Victoria is pleased to announce that we are hosting our 2026 Annual Awards.

About this Award

This Award recognises the outstanding achievements and contribution of EA Coaching registered coaches, coaching in a paid or unpaid capacity at any level of any discipline.

This award is ONLY applicable to services and achievements during the period 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. Prior services and achievements will not be considered in the judging of this category.

Finalists will be contacted directly.

 

Applications for nominations close on June 30th, 2026 at 11:59pm (Melbourne, Australia time).

Eligibility

To be eligible to be nominated for this Award the nominee:

• Must be a permanent resident of Victoria AND
• Must be an Equestrian Victoria member AND
• Must be currently accredited as a coach through EA ( must have undertaken applicable accreditation recognised by Equestrian Victoria & Equestrian Australia) You can view accredited coaches on the EV website. 
• Can be paid or unpaid.
• Provide examples of coaching riders competing in your selected discipline and their achievements at discipline events (eg. coaching a dressage rider in preparation for the Dressage Festival, achieving 1st place).

Selection Criteria

• Results and performance of athletes/teams coached by the nominee
• Level of competition – state, national and/or international
• Contribution to the wider coaching community within their sport - mentoring, etc.
