Equestrian Victoria is pleased to announce that we are hosting our 2026 Annual Awards Night.

 

About this Award

This Award recognises the outstanding dedication and achievements of volunteers who have given their services to Equestrian Victoria and/or equestrian clubs and/or events in any discipline.

This award is ONLY applicable to services and achievements during the period 01 July 2025 to 30th June 2026. Prior services and achievements will not be considered in the judging of this category.

Finalists will be contacted and advised directly. 

Applications for nominations close on June 30th, 2026 at 11:59pm (Melbourne, Australia time).

Eligibility

To be eligible to be nominated for this Award the nominee must:

• Be a permanent resident of Victoria AND
• Have performed applicable duties/roles in a fully unpaid capacity (Note: reimbursement does not consitute payment)
  • EXAMPLE: Receiving $20 per hour to pencil at a dressage event is considered payment/remuneration. By contrast, being reimbursed for the kilometres you travelled (i.e., a petrol contribution) or having the event cover the cost of your lunch are considered reimbursement, as these only offset out-of-pocket expenses rather than compensating you for your time or services.

*For Show Horse nominations, this includes event day and administration volunteers and ground jury crew such as stewards and presenters etc.

Selection Criteria

• Position/s held (at an EV event or with an EV affiliate)
• Hours spent assisting (at an EV event or with an EV affiliate)
• Impact of work/duties performed (at an EV event or with an EV affiliate)
