Early Yers Educator (Room Leader)

West Wimmera Shire Council has a vacancy for an Early Childhood Educator (Room Leader) to join the team at our Edenhope Early Years Service.

This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of a high-quality early childhood program while providing leadership and mentoring to educators, students and trainees within the room environment. Working collaboratively with the Early Childhood Teacher and Service Team Leader, the successful applicant will contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for children and families.

The successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge and experience in delivering early childhood programs in line with the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, support and mentor educators within an early childhood setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.

• An understanding of inclusive practice, child safety and family-centred approaches.

• The ability to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment while supporting the day-to-day operation of the room.

Applicants must hold a minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or other ACECQA approved qualification. Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications are required.
