CYC Adult, Women's + Family Sailing Registration Form

Looking to get out on the water this summer? CYC offers a variety of adult sailing opportunities, including Adult Sailing classes, private lessons, Women's Sailing, Family Sails and clinics. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sailor, there's a program for everyone to build skills, meet fellow sailors, and enjoy Narragansett Bay.

Adult Sailing & Private Instruction
We're excited to expand our Adult Sailing offerings this summer with more opportunities aboard our J/22s and increased availability for private instruction with our experienced coaching team.

Don't see a lesson time that works for you? We offer custom lessons with one of our qualified instructors. Friday and late-afternoon sessions are available for a more comfortable experience outside the midday sun.

Whether you're new to sailing or looking to build confidence and refine your skills, our Adult Sailing programs provide personalized instruction in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Women's Sailing
Looking for a fun way to sail with your girlfriends? Join our women's sailing sessions to build confidence, fine-tune your sailing skills, and enjoy time on the water in a welcoming environment.

For private lesson inquiries, please contact the Director of Sailing.

Please note:

• Instruction is available aboard a J/22, RS Quest.
• Instructors are US Sailing Level 1, World Sailing, or RYA certified.
• Signed medical waivers and properly fitted personal flotation devices (PFDs) are required for all participants.
• Lessons are weather dependent. If conditions are unsafe or unsuitable for sailing, participants will be notified as early as possible regarding cancellations or rescheduling.

REGISTRATION:  

If you are registering individually for a class please complete the Sailors Name #1 , if for a group please be sure to add their names so we know how many people to expect.  You'll receive a confirmation email (may go to spam) with a link to the medical waiver and we'll be in touch with additional details!

All sailing sessions are single events lasting 2 hours.  

CLASS SCHEDULES:

Adult Sailing:  Separate from TGIF Social Sails 
1.) Keelboat - J22s (3p + instructor)

Family Sails: Runs in 2 hour sessions; there are 2 participation options:
1.) Dinghy - Quest (3-4p + instructor)
2.) Keelboat - J22s (3p + instructor)

Women's Sailings: Runs in 2 hour sessions:
1.) Keelboat - J22s (3p + instructor)

Private Lesson: Runs in 2 hour sessions, with option to add additional time if desired.

This registration form has some redundancy built in. 
Step 1. Please choose your class/classes below.

Step 2. Members must input member number, press 'CYC Member Submit' and you will be billed directly.  Guests, may pay by Credit Card or check, however please note in the comments if check and submit by pressing 'CYC Member Submit'.  You will have to select options twice, first to take out of inventory and then again as products to purchase. After you submit credit card information press 'Guest Submit' at the very bottom.

Please be sure to total the amount due at the end.

Adult + Group Sailing

Looking to try something new this summer? Join one of our Adult Sailing classes or schedule a private group lesson for a fun and relaxed experience on the water. Whether it's your first time or you're looking to refine your sailing skills, our team will guide you every step of the way aboard our fleet of J/22s.

Come solo, with a partner, or gather a few friends.  Participants will learn the fundamentals of sailing, including boat handling, sail trim, steering, rigging and de-rigging, tacking and jibing, and safely departing from and returning to a mooring. Instruction also covers wind awareness and points of sail, basic right-of-way rules, teamwork aboard the boat, and essential on-the-water safety skills.

All experience levels are welcome. Life jackets are provided.

Family Sails

Let your junior sailor take the helm and show off what they’ve learned!

Join us for a fun 2-hour sail aboard a J22 or Quest dinghy, guided by one of our instructors. It’s a perfect opportunity for families to get out on the water together and for junior sailors to share their skills and confidence in a safe, supportive setting.  Let them take the helm while you enjoy the ride—or learn a few skills yourself!  A fun, hands-on way to share the sailing experience as a family.

All experience levels welcome. Life jackets provided.

Spots are limited.  3-4 people + instructor

$175 / session / member group

$200 / session / guest group

Women's Sailing

Join us for a 2-hour sail aboard a J/22 with one of our instructors and a crew of other women.  Whether you're brand new or looking to grow your confidence on the water, this is a low-pressure way to get on the water, build skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of sailing with other women.

No experience necessary – come ready for fun & learning!

Monday evening sessions

Minimum 2p to run a session.  

$60 / session / member

$75 / session / guest
