Non-Refundable Payment Policy
I understand that all payments made toward registration are non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness, schedule conflicts, or personal decisions. I understand that my payment secures a space and materials for my student and cannot be transferred or refunded.
Safety & Behavior Acknowledgment
I understand that the staff will make every reasonable effort to provide a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment. I agree that:
- My student will follow all safety guidelines and instructions from staff.
- Disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior may result in my student being dismissed from summer studio without a refund.
- I will notify the staff of any allergies, medical needs, or special considerations.
Personal Belongings & Lost Item
I understand and agree to the following terms regarding my student’s personal belongings while attending the Bloodroot Teen Writers Summer Studio:

Personal Items: participants are encouraged to bring only necessary items each day.
- Cell Phones: Students may bring a cell phone for emergency purposes, but regular use during summer studio hours is not permitted. If a participant is found using their phone during camp, they will receive one warning and parents will be notified. Continued misuse may result in the phone being prohibited for the remainder of the camp.

Lost or Missing Items: The Bloodroot Writers Collective and Rowan County Art Center is not responsible for any lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged personal items, including clothing, water bottles, bags, electronics, or art supplies brought from home.

Unclaimed Items: Any items left behind at the end of summer studio will be held until August 1. After that date, unclaimed items may be discarded or donated at the discretion of the arts center.
Injury Liability
By enrolling my student in the Bloodroot Teen Writers Summer Studio, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that while the Bloodroot Writers Collective and the Rowan County Arts Center takes all reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment, participation in summer studio activities may involve inherent risks, including minor cuts, scrapes, or accidents related to art materials, tools, or physical movement.

I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless the Bloodroot Writers Collective and Rowan County Arts Center, its staff, instructors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for injuries, damages, or losses that may arise out of or in connection with my child’s participation in summer studio activities, whether occurring on or off the premises.

I accept full responsibility for any medical treatment that may be necessary and authorize the summer studio staff to seek emergency medical care for my student if I cannot be reached.
By signing below (or checking the acknowledgment box during online registration), I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver of liability.
