Region Full Application for AYSO S1 EXTRA
  • Region Full Application for AYSO S1 EXTRA

  • Each Region seeking to participate in the Section 1 EXTRA Program is required to submit a Full Application for approval. For MY2026, all Regions wishing to participate must submit a Full Application, regardless of prior participation. The Full Application shall be completed by the Regional Commissioner and will be reviewed by the Section 1 EXTRA Program Administrator(s), the applicable Area Director, and the Section Director (collectively, the “Approval Committee”).

Through the application process, a Region must demonstrate the ability to support the Section 1 EXTRA Program at a higher level of play without detracting from its Standard Core Program. This includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating adequate volunteer capacity (including Regional Board support, qualified coaches, and properly certified referees), operational readiness, and sufficient infrastructure to sustain both the Standard Core Program and the EXTRA Program.

Participation in the EXTRA Program places substantial demands on a Region’s volunteers and resources. Regions that are unable to meet these requirements, or whose participation in EXTRA would place the Standard Core Program at risk, may not be approved to participate or continue participation in the Section 1 EXTRA Program.

Upon review, the Approval Committee may approve a Region’s participation in the Section 1 EXTRA Program for a three-year, two-year, or one-year term, or deny the application. If a Region is denied, the Approval Committee shall provide a written explanation identifying the deficiencies that must be addressed for future consideration.

For each subsequent year in which a Full Application is not required, the Regional Commissioner must submit an Annual Renewal Application for the Section 1 EXTRA Program. The Annual Renewal Application requires the Regional Commissioner to attest that there have been no material changes within the Region that would place the Standard Core Program at risk if the EXTRA Program is to be continued, and to acknowledge and accept any annual updates or requirements issued by Section 1 for the applicable Membership Year.

Any Region placed on probation must submit a Full Application prior to continuing participation in the Section 1 EXTRA Program for the following Membership Year, regardless of prior approval term, and must clearly address the issues that resulted in probation and the corrective actions taken to resolve them.

Please complete one form per Region.

After submitting, a copy will be sent to the email address of the person that submitted, the email of the RC, and the email of the EXTRA Coordinator.
