We, the nursing employees of Endeavor Health and members of the community, call on Endeavor to immediately reinstate two nurses at Evanston Hospital. We believe these recent terminations were tied to union organizing activity, and we are concerned about actions that may discourage nurses from exercising their rights.
In addition, the Endeavor Administration has, on numerous occasions, engaged in what we believe to be illegal surveillance, coercion and interrogation in order to prevent or discourage Endeavor Nurses from joining or supporting a union. Due to this, charges have been filed against Endeavor on these actions.
We believe nurses deserve to exercise our legally protected voices in decisions affecting our workplaces, our profession, and the quality of care provided to our patients.
We therefore demand that Endeavor management:
1. Immediately reinstate the two terminated Evanston nurses
2. Respect nurses’ legal right to organize, table, distribute materials, and speak with coworkers regarding union activity
We stand together for safer hospitals, safer staffing and better patient care. Stand with us by signing this petition!
