  • How to Nominate

    For each Category, please tell us the name and/or business for your nomination and the reason for your nomination. Please include as much information as you can to help our Reviewing Team! You only need to submit your nominee once for them to be included. We are not operating on a 'votes' system. It is free to enter the awards.

  • The Reviewing Team

    Each CATEGORY is collated and shared with our team of reviewers. Please note these individuals are those who are passionate about pet care, welfare and the industry but are not in the competitive grooming space. It is important to us that we remove as much bias as possible when it comes to our awards. Nominees are reviewed based on what is submitted on this form. The team may need some more information about the nominees and may use social media as a means to understand more about the impact the nominee has made.

  • Award Ceremony

    Finalists will be invited to attend the Award Ceremony on Saturday 3rd October. Tickets can be purchased using this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/im-a-groomer-get-me-out-of-hair-tickets-1986342030484 To purchase your ticket, choose Saturday 3rd October, click any time and then scroll down to 'Awards Ceremony'. Tickets booked together will be seated together where possible. Your attendance at the award ceremony will not affect whether or not you win an award!

  • Winners

    Winners will receive a certificate and trophy which will be given at the Award Ceremony. There are no charges for accepting awards. For those who are unable to attend the Award Ceremony, but have won, a charge of £30 will be requested to cover postage fees for the certificate and trophy.

  • 2026 High Achievement Awards Categories

    NEW CATEGORY! Unsung Hero - The individual who goes above and beyond in the workplace. They're not a business owner, and may not be a groomer, but they are instrumental to the day to day running and supporting.

    Rising Star - The overall stand out beginner who is showing strong progress, dedication and potential in the industry.

    Best Beginner Competition Groomer - The best beginner-level competition groomer, producing beautiful grooms in the ring.

    Excellence in Pet Grooming - A groomer that doesn't compete but consistently produces high-quality pet grooms for their clients.

    Handling and Welfare Champion - A dedicated groomer who demonstrates exceptional care, patience and understanding of pet behaviour, welfare and handling.

    Most Improved Groomer - A groomer who has shown incredible growth in skill, confidence and technique since they begun grooming.

    Creative Talent Award - The creative groomer who adds unique finishing touches and flair to their styling.

    Breed Standard Excellence - A groomer who shows strong understanding of the breed, coat type and produces stunning breed-specific trims.

    Client Experience Award - A groomer who goes above and beyond in their customer service, communication and building trust with pet owners, with reviews and testimonials to match.

    Social Media Rising Star - A groomer who is making an impact online sharing their work, educating or inspiring others. They don't necessarily have thousands of followers, but their content deserves to be seen.

    Future Industry Leader - A groomer who shows potential to influence the industry through their leadership and dedication to doing the right thing.

    Future Fusion Star - A groomer who is showing real potential and creative flare, but has not yet won awards or competed in this space.

    Born to Groom - A junior who is already showing a natural talent in grooming their own pets, other peoples pets or in competitions.

    Secret Weapon - A groomer who has been in the industry for 18+ years but has never stepped into the spotlight. They produce high level grooms and are dedicated to their clients.

    Small Business Entrepeneur - A groomer who has built a small business from the ground up, has a brilliant business model and reviews to match. This person may be someone who has happy returning clients and a full diary, grown to hire staff, renting tables, added additional services to their business (eg walking) etc.

    Community Star - A groomer who positively impacts their community. This could be welfare grooming, supporting charities, opening up their space and making a difference.
