    Survey Introduction

As covered in my email, this survey has two parts: first, your assessment of Council as a whole; second, confidential feedback on each of your fellow Council members. Nothing here can be traced back to you individually.

It should take about 25 minutes. I would encourage you to complete it in one sitting, but if you need to pause, click SAVE at the bottom of the page. You'll be shown a "Get Draft Link" button — click it and save that link somewhere, since we don't collect your email address and can't send it to you. Pasting it back into your browser will return you to exactly where you left off.

Note that all questions marked with an * (which is most of them) have to be completed.

If you run into any problems, contact Nicky Bicket, who's administering this for us, at nbicket@katale.co.uk.  He is happy to help.

Thank you for your time and please complete by Friday 31 July.

  • Part 1 of 2 — Assessing Council as a Whole

Rate each statement based on your experience of Council over the period you have served. Use the 1–10 scale below, or tick “Unable to assess” if you don't have enough direct knowledge to answer.

Make use of the whole scale. The numbers below are to give you a sense of the extremes and midpoints

  • Part 2 of 2 — Assessing Your Fellow Council Members

  • On the following pages, with one page per individual, you will be asked to assess each of your fellow nine Council members. Obviously - please don't rate yourself!!

For each person: rate two statements (1–10 scale), select up to two things they should start doing or do more of, select up to two things they should stop doing or do less of, and add one optional short comment only if you have something specific and constructive to add.

Please be candid and specific — vague or generic answers are far less useful than honest, precise ones.

Each of the following pages requires you to select the name of the colleague you are rating. And then repeats one page each for each of the other members. Note that you cannot be identified and so the feedback, which will be consolidated per person, is truly anonymous.
