Waiver and Release and Statement of Fitness
In consideration of acceptance of my request to participate in this event,
- I hereby waive and release any and all rights, claims and actions of any kind, which I might otherwise have or assert because of my participation in this event, against the organizers of, or participants of this event, including but not limited to The Virgin Islands Cycling Federation (VICF) and any of its administrators, officers, members, agents, employees, volunteers, and sponsors. This waiver and release includes, without limitation, any and all losses, damages, and injuries suffered by me, whether or not resulting in whole or in part from negligence by anyone.This waiver and release shall be fully binding on me, my heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, and shall be for the benefit of the representatives, agents, servants, insurers (if any), successors, or assigns of any of the persons or organizations named or described above.
- I understand that the VICF and its organizers, administrators, and members are conducting this event as a community service and have limited insurance for any incidents or accidents that may occur during or in connection with this event, whether or not such incidents or accidents result in whole or in part from negligence.
- I understand that bicycle racing is a potentially hazardous sport involving imperfect road conditions and the hazards of riding in traffic. I understand that I am responsible for obeying the traffic laws of the Virgin Islands and that I am responsible for my safety before, during, and after the event.
- I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the competition of this event and that a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition.
- Further, I grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my photographs, videotape, motion pictures, recording, and other records of this event for any legitimate purpose.
By signing this document, I acknowledge that I have read it fully and carefully, and that I agree to be bound by it without qualification.
