    FOSTER CARE AGREEMENT AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

    This Agreement is entered into by and between Little Muzzles Animal Rescue, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Rescue") and the undersigned Foster Volunteer (hereinafter referred to as "the Foster Parent") 

    Legal Ownership of the Animal:

    1. The Foster Parent explicitly acknowledges that any animal placed in their care by the Rescue remains the sole and exclusive property of Little Muzzles Animal Rescue, Inc. The Foster Parent shall not sell, trade, give away, or otherwise transfer custody of the animal to any other individual, shelter, or organization without express written permission from the Rescue Director.
    2. Weight and Environmental Scope Limits
    3. The Rescue specializes exclusively in animals weighing 25 pounds and under. The Foster Parent agrees to immediately notify the Rescue if an animal appears to significantly exceed this weight threshold or exhibits behavioral traits requiring commercial containment facilities. Standards of Care
    4. The Foster Parent agrees to provide a safe, humane, and sanitary living environment inside their residence. The animal must live indoors. The Foster Parent agrees to provide adequate food, clean water, regular exercise, and high-level socialization. The animal must be kept on a secure leash or within a securely fenced area when outdoors. The animal shall never be left outside unattended.
    5. Veterinary Authorization and Medical Expenses
    6. The Rescue maintains financial responsibility for pre-authorized medical treatment, core vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, and routine preventative medications.
    7. ● Non-Emergencies: The Foster Parent must obtain explicit, written authorization from the Rescue Director prior to scheduling any veterinary care.
    8. ● Emergencies: If immediate life-saving care is required, the Foster Parent must contact the designated Rescue emergency partner clinic immediately.
    9. ● Unauthorized Costs: The Foster Parent agrees that any unauthorized veterinary bills incurred at unapproved clinics will be the personal financial responsibility of the Foster Parent.
    10.  Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
    11. The Foster Parent understands that rescue animals may have unknown medical backgrounds, behavioral histories, or unpredicted temperaments. The Foster Parent assumes all risks associated with fostering the animal, including but not limited to: animal bites, scratches, property damage, or transmission of disease to personal pets or family members.
    12. The Foster Parent hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges Little Muzzles Animal Rescue, Inc., its board members, founders, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury sustained while acting as a Foster Parent.
    13.  Immediate Return Clause
    14. The Foster Parent agrees to return the animal to the Rescue immediately upon request by the Rescue Director. If the Foster Parent can no longer care for the animal, they must give the Rescue at least 48 hours of notice to safely coordinate alternative placement within the 7-to-10 animal network capacity.
