Icksti offers 2-hour live scrupulosity training workshops twice each year for clergy, chaplains, spiritual care providers, and faith leaders.
Through an interfaith and culturally responsive lens, these workshops offer practical, ethically grounded tools for supporting individuals navigating OCD, scrupulosity, faith, and moral distress.
Topics include:
- Understanding OCD and religious and moral scrupulosity
- Recognizing how OCD can become tangled with faith, spirituality, and religious practice
- Distinguishing meaningful spiritual support from reassurance and accommodation
- Responding to reassurance seeking, confession, prayer, and other potential compulsive patterns
- Supporting uncertainty while honoring an individual's faith and values
- Understanding the role of evidence-based OCD treatment
- Collaborating effectively with clinicians and other mental health professionals
- Applying learning through interfaith case examples and discussion
