Possible Volunteer Tasks

Volunteer needs vary based on event. Exact needs will be sent out via email and a signup genius link.

Some possible needs may be:

Event Set Up: set up tent, tables, chairs, decor, etc.

Merchandise Sales: Staff the merch booth, assist attendees in finding sizes, handle cash and card transactions, and keep the display organized throughout the event.

Event Clean Up: break down tent, put away tables, chairs, and decor, etc.

Volunteer Community Agreement

By signing up to volunteer with Wake Forest Pride, you agree to treat all participants, guests, volunteers, performers, vendors, and staff with kindness, dignity, and respect.

We believe every person deserves to feel safe, welcome, and comfortable in our spaces. Volunteers are expected to be mindful of how their words, actions, and behavior impact others and to help foster a culture of inclusion, care, and belonging.

Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, or behavior that negatively impacts another person’s sense of safety or comfort will not be tolerated.

Any volunteer who is unable or unwilling to uphold these expectations may be removed from their volunteer role and/or asked to leave the event at the discretion of Wake Forest Pride leadership.

The undersigned on behalf of themselves and their estate hereby waives any right of recovery and releases Wake Forest Pride (WFP), their officers, officials, employees and agents, from liability related to the Undersigned, arising from any and all injury to persons and damage to property. Furthermore, the undersigned agrees and undertakes to indemnify, hold harmless and defend WFP from and against any and all claims, damages, actions, liability and expenses. These expenses include attorney’s fees and other professional fees in connection with bodily injury including death, personal injury and/or damage to property arising from or out of the Undersigned’s activities and participation in volunteer services.

The Undersigned further acknowledges and agrees that WFP does not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any property of the Undersigned. The Undersigned shall not hold WFP liable for any loss or damage to same.

Photos of volunteer activities are often used in promotional materials. WFP will be allowed to use volunteer images unless volunteers submit their objection in writing.
