The Colorado Pork Green Chile Showdown is a fiery cook off where family traditions, secret ingredients and local pride collide.
From grandma’s time honored recipes to bold new twists, this competition celebrates the heart and heat of Colorado cuisine.
A bowl of true green chile starts with our local farmers that fuel the flavor behind every simmering pot. Colorado Pork is proud to celebrate the farmers whose pork powers our state's signature dish!

The top 5 recipe finalists will compete for the Grand Prize and the Chile Crown at the Colorado State Fair Pepsi Stage on September 5th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Finalists must bring their pork green chile to the state fair pre-heated in a plug-in crockpot.
*Deadline for entries is August 5th*
Grand Prize: $1000 & a Medium Egg in Nest Package
2nd Prize: : $750 and a pork assortment gift package
3rd Prize: $500
*Must be a local Colorado resident and show proof of residency to enter
*Each finalist in attendance will receive 2 complimentary General Admission tickets for September 5th
*Must be present at the State Fair to win prizes
*Winners will be presented with prize vouchers to pick up prizes at a designated date
*Competitors are responsible for all fees and liabilities associated with this competition
