• Online Qualified Climber Classroom

    Join billboard safety expert Jim Poage from 10am - 2pm of Thursday, June 4th online for the first of three requirements for Qualified Climber certification.

  • Some of the topics covered will be:

    • History of the climbing requirements in Outdoor, including Gannett Variance and updated regulations and requirements
    • Hazards to be aware of, including fall hazards and ladders
    • Hazard protection, including PPE/safety devices and their limitations and pre-climb inspections

    And many more topics. At the completion of the class, a quiz will be required to demonstrate understanding of the material. The local competent person can then proceed to the practical training and observed skills demonstration. After completing all three parts of the training, students will receive a certificate recognizing them as having completed Qualified Climber training.
