Open Call: Uncharted
  • Call for Art: Uncharted

    Visual Arts + Craft
  • Exhibition Dates: July 1 – August 8

Location: 6 Bridges Gallery, Maynard, MA

ORGANIZER: Claudia Fiks / TAG | The Art Gallery

Juror: Michael Rosen, Gallery Manager at Providence Art Club

TAG | The Art Gallery invites visual artists and artisans to submit work for Uncharted, a curated exhibition exploring ideas of discovery, transition, experimentation, and the movement beyond familiar boundaries.

To enter uncharted territory is to step into the unknown, geographically, emotionally, materially, or conceptually. This exhibition considers exploration as both a personal and collective experience: the pursuit of new ideas, audiences, environments, and ways of seeing.

As TAG expands its presence beyond Boston into neighboring communities, Uncharted also reflects a broader journey of connection and cultural exchange. The exhibition seeks work that embraces curiosity, risk-taking, transformation, and the evolving relationship between artist, place, and perception.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. Works may respond to physical landscapes, inner journeys, memory, migration, identity, experimentation with materials or process, social change, or imagined futures. We welcome artwork that navigates uncertainty with openness, reflection, and creative courage.

All visual media and craft approaches are welcome, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, photography, mixed media, meatlsmith, textile, digital, conceptual, and experimental work.

This exhibition is part of TAG’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for artists, fostering meaningful connections between communities, and expanding access to contemporary art and craft across Greater Boston and beyond.
