    About the Event:

The City of Carbondale proudly presents Carbondale Game Changers, a family friendly event celebrating the history and legacy of the Negro Baseball Leagues on Sunday, June 21st at MTN Dew Park. Embracing the theme "Swing Big, Dream Bigger," Carbondale Game Changers will teach local youth and community members about how the Negro Leagues became a symbol of perseverance and community pride during a deeply segregated era of American history. The event will encourage local youth to dream boldly about how they, too, can be future "game changers" and make a positive difference in their community. Doors open at 1:00pm with the educational presentation starting at 1:15pm. Starting at 2:00pm, attendees will watch the Thrillville Thrillbillies take on the O'Fallon Hoots. Please fill out the form below to let us know you are coming and tell the host a little bit more about yourself. *Only your name and contact information are required. PLEASE NOTE- The additional demographic information requested is to assist with the grant reporting process. Please email any additional questions to Dianah McGreehan at dmcgreehan@carbondaleil.gov
