ALN Finance/Tax 101 Workshop Registration Form

The Asian Leaders Network Waco is welcoming invited guest speaker Dr. Betty Bin Xing of Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business Department of Accounting & Business Law to speak to us on the topic of Finance and Taxation. Dr. Xing will be guiding us through business finance, tax principles, and Q&A in this workshop & roundtable for local business owners.

Join us Saturday, September 26, 2026 2-3:30pm at Waco Family Medicine - Central (1600 Providence Dr, Waco, TX 76707) for light snacks, engaging conversation, and a time of connection and community with fellow small business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders. Free & open to our local community - with RSVP below.

Dr. Betty Bin Xing currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Baylor University and has a diverse background and training in accounting. She actively researches topics ranging from international and corporate tax to innovation and collaboration. Prior to joining Baylor, Dr. Xing taught taxation at the University of Waterloo and before academia, she worked in various tax department roles as a tax specialist and business analyst.

We look forward to this workshop in the fall geared for anyone in small business owner, entreneurial, and/or leadership role. Leaders who are interested in starting up a small business are also welcomed!

Please note: This session will be led by a local professor of accounting and is intended to provide a general educational overview of business finance and taxation concepts alongside supportive, community discussion from fellow business leaders. It is not a substitute for personalized tax or accounting advice and consultation from a CPA. We encourage you to submit questions in the RSVP form, and Dr. Xing will incorporate selected questions related to business finance and taxation principles into the workshop. There may or may not be the opportunity for us to record the workshop portion of the gathering so we encourage you to attend in-person to participate fully in the time.
