    As a COVEY Volunteer, your commitment and dedication are incredibly valuable to us. Your role plays a vital part in improving the lives of our young people and their families. Therefore, it is important for us to clarify our expectations of you and what you can expect from COVEY in return.

     

    What we expect of our Volunteers

     

    • To build a trusting & supportive relationship with a Child/Young Person/Parent/Carer.
    • To establish and maintain boundaries within the volunteering relationship.
    • To provide transport for a Child/Young Person/Parent/Carer where appropriate (for drivers).
    • To arrive on time for your One-to-one/Group Session.
    • To be reliable and maintain close communication with COVEY Staff.
    • To inform COVEY Staff promptly of any issues/concerns/safeguarding that arise during the course of your volunteering.
    • To be aware of and work within COVEY policy, procedure and best practice.
    • To submit expense claims at least monthly. 

     

    What you can expect from COVEY

     

    • Create opportunities for ongoing learning & development.
    • Designate a Staff Member to act as your single point of contact.
    • Reimburse all reasonable expenses incurred in the course of your volunteering.
    • Create opportunities to meet with other COVEY Volunteers.
    • Ensure a safe working environment and be covered by the appropriate insurance to undertake voluntary work.
    • To provide a reference for any future job/volunteering prospects.
