Boat Construction Rules
1. Materials * Boats must be made primarily from cardboard.*
Allowed materials:
cardboard, duct tape, masking tape, packing tape, paint, and decorations.
Not Allowed:
Wood, metal, fiberglass, plastic hulls, foam flotation devices, plastic barrels, metal framing, wood supports, and inflatable devices are not allowed.
* Boats must be human-powered only. * Motors and other mechanical propulsion systems are not allowed. *
Paddles may be made from cardboard, plastic, or other lightweight materials.
*Teams must be able to carry their own boat to the water.*
Team Rules
1. Teams may have 1–4 participants per boat.
2. All racers must wear a life jacket while on the water and follow directions from race officials.
3. Children must have parent or guardian permission and adult supervision if under 16.
Race Rules
1. Boats must remain intact at the start of the race.
2. Racers must stay with their boat during the event.
3. Intentional ramming or interference with other teams is not allowed.
4. If a boat sinks, team members must safely swim or walk their boat to shore, and safety staff may assist if needed.
5. Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.

Safety Rules
* Life jackets are required for all participants. * Alcohol and unsafe behavior are not allowed during races. *
Event staff reserve the right to remove unsafe boats or participants.
Cleanup Policy
* Teams are responsible for removing all boat debris from the lake and shoreline. *
