• Cap City Collective Application

  • About the Collective

The Cap City Collective is a leadership and civic engagement body that gives young adults a direct voice in local government. The Collective serves as a bridge between Albany’s young residents and government, ensuring that the perspectives, experiences, and ideas of young adults are reflected in policies, programs, and initiatives that shape the future of the city.

Members will work collaboratively with the Office of Mayor Applyrs, the Office of Assemblymember Romero, and community partners to identify challenges facing young adults, provide feedback on city initiatives, and develop programs that strengthen civic engagement, community connections, and quality of life for residents ages 20–35. Through regular meetings, community outreach, and special projects, members help ensure Albany remains a vibrant, welcoming, and opportunity-rich city for the next generation of leaders.

    Mission

The mission of the Cap City Collective is to empower young adults to actively participate in government, advise city leadership on issues affecting their generation, and promote initiatives that strengthen community engagement, economic opportunity, and quality of life throughout Albany.
