The Q&E Emerging Business Award
Recognizes the quality and excellence of Hispanic business owners whose business is in the start-up phase or transitioning from start-up to growth stage. Honorees are building strong foundations and demonstrating early signs of long-term success.
Criteria for the Emerging Business Award:
- Business has been operating for less than 5 years
- Demonstrates success in procurement/contracting
- Is actively building long-term sustainability
- Engages in community involvement
The Q&E Pacesetter Award
Recognizes the quality and excellence of Hispanic business owners who have moved past start-up and are setting the pace in their industry through sustained growth, smart strategy, and operational excellence.
Criteria for the Pacesetter Award:
- Have been in business for at least 5 years with a demonstrated track record of year-over-year growth
- Use forward-thinking strategies —whether through innovation, technology, market expansion, or operational excellence —to drive sustainable growth
- Have built a strong team and invested in workforce development
- Give back to the community through engagement with business or community organizations
The Empire Builder Award
Recognizes the quality and excellence of Hispanic business owners who have built enduring, large-scale enterprises that create significant economic impact and exemplify what is possible for the next generation of Hispanic entrepreneurs.
Criteria for the Empire Builder Award:

Have been in business for at least 10 years with a proven track record of sustained growth and resilience

Generate an average annual revenue of $5M or more over the last 3 years

Have created jobs consistently and operate with a substantial workforce

Demonstrate leadership in the Hispanic business community through mentorship, advocacy, philanthropy, or board service
