• LSA LAUNCH CERTIFICATION PERMIT (LCP)

  • MANDATORY FOR ALL WATERCRAFT

  • Illinois Law: 625 ILCS 45/5-23; III. Admin. Code tit. 17 § 875; 515 ILCS 5/10-10

  • This certification is valid for the current season or until the watercraft leaves LSA, whichever occurs first.
    A new signed, dated LCP is required upon return or after 30 days outside LSA.
  • Before You Launch:

    • Answer the questions on the back to determine if your watercraft needs decontamination before launching.
    • If your watercraft is ready to launch, complete the self-certification statement on this page.
    • Display certification through your vehicle windshield when entering LSA and while parked at LSA Marinas, and
    • Must have a signed, dated certification permit in the watercraft when on the water.

  • Has your watercraft been outside of Lake Summerset in the past 30 days?

  • Were your watercraft and trailer cleaned, drained, and dried for at least the time indicated in the table? This includes:
    1. Removing all dirt, plants, and grit.
    2. Draining and flushing all live wells and bilge areas.
  • If NO, then:

  • Ensure that your watercraft complies with the Clean, Drain, Dry requirements and you're ready to launch. Sign the other side of this sheet and display it through your vehicle windshield while your vehicle and trailer are parked at LSA Marinas and have one with you in the watercraft when on the water.
  • If YES, then:

  • Ensure that your watercraft complies with the Clean, Drain, Dry requirements and you're ready to launch.     Violators are punishable with up to 1year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
