Purpose: To equip parks and recreation professionals with the tools they need to be effective leaders within their agencies, their communities and our profession.
Program Content: The 2.5 day program will consist of: leadership development/enhancement activities, FISH! Philosophy for Leaders and team building exercises. All adventure programming is challenge by choice.
Eligibility: Applicants must be ARPA Professional Members in good standing and have maintained membership for a minimum of six months. College students majoring in parks and recreation or a related field may also be considered with a professor’s recommendation. All applicants must have a working email address and the ability to complete pre-LEAD activities online.
Nominations: Nominations will be reviewed by ARPF with no more than 14 participants being selected.
Program Dates: November 4th – 6th, location Camp Skyline, Mentone, AL.
Application Process: Applications will be reviewed and candidates accepted by Septemer 15th. Invoice will be sent once candidate is accepted. Cost to attend is $175 and inlcudes lodging and meals.
