  • Workshop #1: OCNI Ready4SMR Workshop

    Date: June 14th, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

    This workshop explores how advances in materials science and manufacturing are helping enable the next generation of nuclear projects. Hosted by the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries through its Ready4SMR initiative, the session brings together industry and academic leaders to discuss modular nuclear construction, advanced welding, additive manufacturing, functionally graded alloys, and molten salt corrosion research.

    The workshop will highlight emerging Canadian capabilities supporting SMRs and large nuclear projects, while examining how advanced manufacturing and materials innovation can improve scalability, safety, and deployment readiness across the nuclear supply chain.

  • Workshop #2: Building Trust Through Technical Transparency: Indigenous Engagement and Inclusion in Canada’s Nuclear Supply Chain

    Date: June 15th, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

    This panel discussion will explore how Indigenous organizations, industry, and academic institutions can work together to strengthen participation in Canada’s nuclear supply chain. Discussion will focus on technical knowledge transfer, workforce readiness, procurement pathways, and the importance of clear communication around reactor technologies and safety systems to support informed decision-making, trust, and long-term engagement.
