I Can Excel is FSH’s premiere school-year program, created to strengthen academics, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and build leadership skills for girls in grades 1-12. Within the afterschool model, every part of the program—Education, The Edge Life Skills & Leadership curriculum, Go-Fit conditioning, and On-Ice instruction—works together to develop strong, confident scholar-athletes. Before moving to the application section, please read the following carefully:
- We accept new & returning 1st-10th graders
- All skating skills welcome (YES, beginners too!)
- I Can Excel After-school tuition is on a sliding scale, ranging from $300-$1320. (This does not include any fees for the Harlem Ice performance or synchronized skating team.)
- Financial aid is available on a sliding scale. Please view the sliding scale here: https://figureskating.egnyte.com/dl/HhdQmTPk9XRq. Financial aid is applied to your account in Amilia and will be seen at checkout if applicable to you and your family.

Ice Rink Locations - off-ice training, social-emotional learning, homework help
a) Riverbank State Park (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays)
b) Gottesman Rink at the Davis Center (Wednesdays)
In addition to this application, you must submit the following documents to be considered for admission.
- A NYC Child & Adolescent Health Examination Form (dated after 10/14/2025)
- 2025 Financial documentation (such as a 1040, W-2, employment letter, or benefits statement)
- Official and Final June 2026 End of School Year Report Card
- Due Date for returning students: July 1st, 2026

After review of your application, FSH will invite new candidates to the next round, which is interviews with the FSH team. After the interview, if you are admitted, you will receive a link to register for the program.
