This agreement outlines the terms under which independent photographers and videographers (“Media Participants”) are granted access to capture images and video at the Middle Tennessee Tattoo Expo (“Event”).
1. Access: All Media Participants must sign this agreement and be pre-approved. Media approval does not guarantee complimentary admission unless explicitly agreed upon with event organizers in advance.
2. Permitted Use: Media Participants may use content captured at the Event only for personal portfolio, social media, or press/editorial coverage. Use for commercial purposes, resale, or stock photography/videography is strictly prohibited.
Media Participants retain ownership of their original works but grant the Event and its organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and share any photos or video featuring the Event for promotional, archival, and marketing purposes.
3. Conduct and Respect: Tattooing can be a vulnerable process. Media Participants must:
- Respect all persons. Always ask for verbal consent from both artist and client before taking close-up photos or videos of tattoo sessions or partially exposed clients.
- Respect all artwork. Do not photograph or film flash designs, sketches, or works in progress without the artist’s permission.
- Be aware of surroundings. Do not interfere with tattooing, artist concentration, client privacy, and the Event’s official photographer and videographer.
- Do not use flash or intrusive lighting.
4. Liability: Media Participants attend and operate at their own risk. The Event, its organizers, and The Fairgrounds Nashville are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or equipment.
5. Consent and Release: Signs posted throughout the venue inform attendees that photography and video will occur. Attendance constitutes consent to be photographed or filmed. However, Media Participants must still follow the respectful conduct guidelines above.
6. Agreement: By signing below, the Media Participant agrees to comply with the Above terms.
