The dance company commitment is from September 2026 thru July 2027. Competitions currently on the schedule are as follows and are subject to change based on event availability, dancer attendance, routine progression, etc.

In order to remain on the team and in good standing, members must contribute/participate in all things DTRI including the annual Holiday Show (Dec 12-13 2026) as well as annual showcase and/or Artistic Revue (June 6, 2027). Balances must be paid up to date in order to purchase tickets for events, receive costumes and be cast in additional routines.
Birth Certificate: A copy of the dancer’s birth certificate is required for proof of age. We are auditing our birth certificates this season and will inform clients directly if they need a new copy.
The annual competitive team membership fee is $250 per dancer. This will be sent via email in October and is due upon receipt. The team fee is payable directly from the invoice, by check to DTRI or via our Venmo @DTRI-ONLY. These fees will be auto debited via auto draft if you have a card on file and the balance has not been paid on the due date.
Team Gear: All competitive dancers will be required to purchase DTRI Official Gear, team t-shirts, earrings and makeup. Team members must have a team jacket. Additional items, such as dance bags, backpacks, garment bags may be added to this list for Company Dancers.
Tuition: The tuition rate for the dance company is $250.00 per month per student. A $50.00 late fee will be charged if not paid by the 7th of the month. A credit/debit card on file is requested.
Additional Rehearsals: Dancers are required to attend additional rehearsals, especially leading up to the competition at no additional charge. Dancers are required to adhere to the dress code for classes.
Entry Fee Package: Entry Fee packages will be due in November for the 2027 Regional Season. These packages will include one solo and two groups plus a media fee. The Media Fee is a one-time charge for the ENTIRE season on the SDA circuit throughout all brands. This fee covers all regional events, all National events and the World Event as well as the WDP. Media Fee for this season is $125.
Comp Weeks: The week immediately preceeding a non optional regional event, a national event and/or a worlds event is considered COMP WEEK. Rehearsals for this week are mandatory for those attending the event as we prepare for competition.
Entry Fees: All entry fees MUST be paid by the due date, including the Entry Fee Package. Additional routines, IE: more than two groups, duos/trios, etc, will be invoiced as they are cast throughout the regional season. There will be a $50 late fee if your fees are not paid by the due date. Entry fees are payable directly from the invoice, by check to DTRI or via our Venmo @DTRI-ONLY. These fees will be auto debited via auto draft if you have a card on file and the balance has not been paid on the due date.
Solos: All Company members are offered one solo as part of their existing company tuition for the new season. The solo is not mandatory, although highly recommended, to keep your dancer progressing both individually and within the group routines as well as getting priceless one on one time with the director. Declining a solo does not necessarily mean you will be entitled to a duo/trio. Additional solo routines may be requested, however, these will incur additional costs for choreography and rehearsal. If you choose to decline a solo, your entry fee package would be reduced by the solo entry fee. The Director strongly recommends ALL COMPANY Dancers take adavantage of the solo opportunity.
Titles: Titles will be offered for the regional and national event at the discretion of the director. Additonal entry fees are required to compete for Title at each event.
Costume/Photogenic: Additional entries for costume and photogenic are offered at regional and national events. These can be added to your entry if requested but must be submitted by the studio.
Recompetes: Over the course of the regional season, routines may be asked by either the driector or the dancer, to recompete at one of our full team or optional regional events. Rehearsals for these recompetes will be determined by the time available.
National/World Entry Fees: After each regional event, National/World Entry Fees will be invoiced immedatiely. These will have a set due date later in the season but can be paid at any time after they are invoiced until the due date. Once these Entry Fees are paid, they are moved directly over to the corrosponding event at time of payment and are no longer in the posession of the studio, thus non refundable.
Power Hours: These classes will be offered throughout the year and are semi-private/private hours that company dancers can enroll in and work on individual skills/goals. There are no additional charges for Power Hours at a frequency of once a month when offered.
Fundraising: Each dancer will be required to participate in at least one fundraiser during the year.
All tuition, competition fees and costume fees must be kept up to date in order to remain a member of the DTRI Dance Company. Costume Fee for the new season: $95. All Costume Fees are payable in CASH Only.
DTRI may attend additional regional/national competitions throughout the year that are optional to the team and its members.
The competition team tuition is based on a flat total tuition fee of $2750 per year. This is broken down into 11 monthly payments of $250/month September through July, regardless of how many rehearsals, days, or weeks we dance/rehearse/compete throughout any given month.
Travel Hotel blocks are set up for the team when needed. Please utilize them and realize the time and effort taken to reserve these blocks/pricing so that we can travel and stay together. Also understand that if you cancel a room/rooms, it adversely affects the studio/team as we have to guarantee a certain amount of rooms to get the rates/block. We understand that circumstances change, however please note that with the comfort of having a room at a group rate comes the risk of not needing it. If we can not secure a group block, we will provide the event room block as well as our suggested hotel option.
Hotel Guidelines: In the event there is an issue with the group block, hotel or otherwise, said issue needs to be brought to DTRI and it's staff to address. We have group contacts that can provide immediate solutions. No one is to make demands of the weekend staff or front desk as this will jeopardize our future group stays.
Expectations at Events: A reminder that as a member of the dance studio, specifically the dance company, you represent the studio at all events inside or outside of our facility. In the event of an issue or concern, the members of the studio agree to present said issue to the dance studio owners and allow them to address the appropriate parties required. At no time should a dancer, parent or guardian address the event staff, registration staff or otherwise in the event of an issue or concern.
Out of studio practice: A reminder that all dancers are encouraged to practice at home, however, dancers are only to practice skills that they have completed in the dance room with proper spotting and direction. Dancers should never attempt skills they have not achieved in the studio at home to avoid injuries. It is also important to perform partner tricks in the studio under the supervision of staff and not outside the confines of the facility to prevent potential injuries. As always, there are to be no tricks performed in the lobby. In the event that dancers attend establishments to enhance their skills, please inform the staff so we may work towards the goals as a team. For example, there is a significant difference learning skills on a sprung floor or mat versus having to control your landing on a hard floor.
Dance Company members that attend and compete in a regional event understand that the routine(s) that qualify for Nationals and/or Worlds will require attendance at those events. Dancers are expected to attend the National and World competitions.
Attendance: We will be utilizing our self check-in system and manual attendance sheets to monitor attendance throughout the year. Attendance is crucial to keep up to date with choreo, technique and routine progression. DTRI has always worked with families with conflicts and will continue to do so, however some things are out of our control.
