Once received, it is important to hang dry in the air for about an hour before use to prevent oils from staining clothing. Ensure the ti leaf is completely dry, as any remaining moisture may stain light-colored clothing or gowns. If moisture is still present, gently wipe the lei with a clean paper towel to remove excess oil or water. If oil residue remains, rinse it in a container with fresh water, dry thoroughly, and repeat as needed.
