    1. Nature of Services

The Rusted Rock provides non-clinical personal support services designed to promote stability, accountability, personal growth, recovery, executive functioning, and successful navigation of life's challenges and transitions.

    Services may include:

    • Individual support sessions
    • Recovery-oriented support
    • Goal setting and accountability
    • Emotional support and encouragement
    • Communication and organizational support
    • Family support sessions
    • Resource referrals
    • Wellness and life-navigation planning

The Rusted Rock does not provide:

    • Medical care or treatment
    • Mental health counseling or psychotherapy
    • Psychiatric services
    • Substance use treatment
    • Crisis intervention
    • Emergency medical or mental health services
    • Legal or financial advice

Participation in services does not establish a therapist-client, medical provider-patient, or other licensed healthcare relationship. Services are intended to complement—not replace—care provided by licensed medical, mental health, or substance use professionals. Clients are encouraged to maintain relationships with appropriate healthcare providers throughout services.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

    2. Eligibility for Services

    Clients must:

    • Be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise agreed upon with legal guardian consent.
    • Participate voluntarily.
    • Provide accurate intake and contact information.
    • Communicate honestly and respectfully.

The Rusted Rock reserves the right to decline, pause, or discontinue services if requested support falls outside the scope of practice or if safety, boundaries, or policies are repeatedly violated.

    3. Communication

Communication may occur by phone, text message, email, secure client portal, virtual meeting, or in-person session.

Although reasonable safeguards are used to protect your privacy and all forms are HIPAA compliant, electronic communication carries inherent security risks.

Non-emergency messages will typically receive a response within one business day. Communication is not monitored continuously and should never be used during an emergency.

    4. Intake & Service Commitment

An initial Intake Session  of $750 is required before ongoing services begin. This session is used to review goals, determine whether services are an appropriate fit, establish expectations, and develop an initial support plan.

Support plans require a minimum three (3) month commitment and are billed monthly.

Clients may cancel ongoing services by providing at least seven (7) days' written notice before the next billing cycle.

Clients enrolled in Core Support or Comprehensive Support agree to maintain that level of service for a minimum of six (6) months before transitioning to Lite Support.

While only a three-month commitment is required, six months of participation is strongly encouraged to promote consistency, accountability, and meaningful long-term progress.

Additional sessions may be scheduled by active clients when appropriate but are not available as stand-alone services.

    5. Scheduling, Attendance & Cancellation

Clients are responsible for scheduling appointments, arriving on time, and maintaining current contact information.

Appointments beginning more than 15 minutes late may be shortened or canceled, and the fee may apply.

Whenever possible, at least 24 hours' notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling.

Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may result in paused services or termination of services. Emergency situations will always be considered with compassion and flexibility whenever reasonably possible.

    6. Payment

Clients agree to pay all fees associated with agreed-upon services.

    The Rusted Rock:

    • Does not bill insurance.
    • Cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement, although clients may independently submit documentation if appropriate.
    • Reserves the right to modify fees, services, or policies with reasonable notice.

Outstanding balances may result in paused or discontinued services.

    7. Privacy & Confidentiality

The Rusted Rock values client privacy and will not disclose information without permission except when disclosure is required by law or necessary to address safety concerns.

    Examples include:

    • Immediate risk of serious harm to self or others.
    • Suspected abuse or neglect when reporting is legally required.
    • Court orders or other legal obligations.

Because services are non-clinical, they may not carry the same legal confidentiality protections as relationships with licensed healthcare providers.

    8. Client Responsibility

Clients understand that meaningful change requires active participation and personal responsibility.

The Rusted Rock does not guarantee specific outcomes, including recovery, sobriety, employment, relationships, or other personal goals.

Clients remain solely responsible for their decisions, actions, healthcare, recovery, legal obligations, and overall wellbeing.

    9. Professional Boundaries

The Rusted Rock is committed to maintaining professional, respectful, and healthy boundaries.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, manipulative, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate termination of services.

Clients agree to respect communication expectations, scheduling policies, and professional boundaries.

    10. Session Locations & Activities

Sessions may take place virtually, at an agreed-upon location, in community settings, outdoors, or during activities that support identified goals.

Examples include walking sessions, hiking, coffee meetings, organizational support, and other agreed-upon community-based activities.

Clients understand that community and outdoor sessions involve variables beyond The Rusted Rock's control, including weather, transportation, public environments, and physical activity. Clients are responsible for determining whether they are physically and emotionally able to participate.

The Rusted Rock may modify, relocate, reschedule, or discontinue activities when necessary for safety or professional judgment.

    11. Website & Digital Content

All branding, written materials, graphics, logos, digital resources, and website content are the property of The Rusted Rock unless otherwise stated.

Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission.

Website content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical, legal, or therapeutic advice.

    12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Rusted Rock is not liable for decisions made by clients, recovery outcomes, relapse, missed opportunities, emotional distress, technology failures, third-party platform interruptions, or events beyond reasonable control.

Clients voluntarily participate in services and accept responsibility for their own decisions and wellbeing.

    13. Termination of Services

Either party may discontinue services at any time, subject to applicable service commitments and cancellation requirements.

The Rusted Rock may terminate services when:

    • Requested services fall outside the scope of practice.
    • Policies or boundaries are repeatedly violated.
    • Safety concerns arise.
    • Payment obligations are not met.
    • A professional working relationship can no longer be maintained.

When appropriate, referrals to alternative resources can be provided.

    14. Changes to Agreement Terms

The Rusted Rock reserves the right to update this Client Agreement at any time. Updated versions may be provided electronically or posted on the website.

Continued participation in services constitutes acceptance of any revised Client Agreement.
