Yes, we may accept intact males and females on a case-by-case basis.
For intact males, we implement management protocols to minimize unwanted behaviors. Intact males will be housed and handled separately from other intact males as appropriate to ensure the safety and comfort of all dogs in our care. An additional fee applies for intact males over six months of age.
For intact females, owners must disclose the date of the dog's most recent heat cycle and the anticipated timing of her next cycle. Due to the variability of heat cycle timing, we cannot guarantee availability for boarding dates that fall close to an expected cycle.
If your female has not yet experienced her first heat cycle, we may tentatively confirm boarding services. However, if she begins showing signs that a heat cycle is approaching before her scheduled stay, upon arrival, or during her boarding period, you or your designated emergency contact will be required to arrange immediate pick-up.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate females that are in active heat under any circumstances, as doing so can be disruptive to kennel operations and the well-being of the other dogs in our care.
