Volleyball Queensland is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Referees to take part in the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) in Perth, WA. 

Volleyball Australia covers flights, accommodation and daily per diems for meal expenses.

2026 AYVC Tournament:

Date: 20 – 25 September 2026
Venue: HBF Arena, Bendat Basketball Centre, Gold Netball Centre; Perth, WA
Membership: All referees must be a current member of VQ

Arrival - Saturday 19 September 2026 Early morning/afternoon.

Departure - Friday 25 September 2026 at the conclusion of the event pending flight availability.

 

Advised AYVC PREPARATION

In order to adequately prepare for this experience VQ recommends that interested referees remain actively participate in the 2025 PVL Season and take full advantage of the referee coaching group in Tier 1 as well as other events in the leadup to the tournament. Below is an indication of the level of activity suggested by VQ depending on your level of experience and geographic location.

Returning Level 3 Referees
·         10 matches as R1
·         5 matches as R2

These can be completed over at least two VQ events, including State Champs, School Cups and PVL Rounds. 

Seeking Upgrade to Level 3
·         10 matches as R1
·         5 matches as R2

These can be completed over at least two VQ events, including State Champs, School Cups and PVL Rounds.

1st time AYVC
·         5 matches as R1
·         3 matches as R2

These can be completed over at least two VQ events, including State Champs, School Cups and PVL Rounds.

Level 2 Associate/State Referees

These referees are expected to attend at least one VQ event, including State Champs, School Cups and PVL Rounds.
