  • Welcome to the South Alberta High School. The following registration information is required by South Alberta High School and Alberta Education.

    This form serves as registration for both Becoming Player X and Be the Leader, which run concurrently.

    Please note: If you have already completed either course, you are not eligible to retake it and will not receive additional credit.
    If you are new to both courses, you will start with Becoming Player X and move on to Be the Leader once the first course is completed.

    Once your registration is received, access to the course(s) on our Canvas platform will arrive as an email invitation to join the classroom in late June.

Acceptable documents include the student’s Birth Certificate, Canadian Citizenship Certificate, Passport, Driver's/Learner's License, Permanent Landed Immigrant document, or any other relevant social document. This documentation must be presented alongside the registration form. A copy will be retained and placed in the student's record for administrative purposes.

    Requiring proof of citizenship when registering for a school in Alberta is a necessary administrative procedure to ensure compliance with regulations, allocate resources effectively, and maintain the integrity of the education system.

  • ABORIGINAL LEARNER DATA COLLECTION INITIATIVE (ALDCI)

    Terms: Alberta Education is collecting this personal information pursuant to section 33 (c) of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FOIP) as the information relates directly to and is necessary to meet its mandates and responsibilities to measure system effectiveness and develop policies, programs and services to improve Aboriginal learner success. Alberta school boards are also collecting this information pursuant to the same section in conjunction with section 2(1)(t) of the Student Record Regulation and for the same purposes. This information will be used to determine the provincial First Nation, Métis and Inuit Funding Allocation provided to school authorities.
