General Information
These workshops are designed to offer a welcoming, hands-on space to slow down, explore creativity, and connect through clay. Whether you are joining for a youth class, caregiver-and-child session, adult workshop, or community clay night, each experience is centered around process, curiosity, and creative expression - not perfection.
No prior experience is needed unless otherwise noted. All materials and tools will be provided. Participants are encouraged to come as they are, enjoy the tactile nature of clay, and create in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Workshops
Grounded Mornings
A slow and welcoming morning designed to help quiet the extra noise of everyday life. Join River Clay Studio for a gentle creative space to explore, learn, and create with air-dry clay. Templates and guided inspiration will be available, while personal projects are always encouraged.
This workshop is especially welcoming to caregivers, parents, and anyone craving time to slow down, reconnect, and create without pressure. Coffee and tea will be available as we gather in a calm, grounding environment where conversation, creativity, and the steady rhythm of working with clay offer space to pause and breathe.
Youth Clay Club ~2-7 years old
Air-Dry clay is a welcoming gateway into the world of ceramics. It dries naturally and is ready for painting and sealing within just a few days. This makes it an accessible, low-pressure way to explore the fundamentals of hand-building while engaging in rich sensory play.
Come when you can, there is no pressure or stress if life gets busy. Each session stands on its own, while repeat visits help young makers build skills, confidence, and connection over time. When you run out of punches, register again for more visits! Suggested age range 2-7 years old.
Pencil Cup for Dad
Create a personalized handprint pencil holder for Father’s Day.
Little hands make the best gifts. Kids will trace, decorate, and personalize their clay handprints before transforming them into a one-of-a-kind pencil holder for Dad. Add “Dad,” “Daddy,” Grandpa, or another special name to create a meaningful keepsake he’ll use and treasure every day.
