Golden Trout Lake is a classic high-alpine Summit with Ciara adventure, climbing steadily through pine forest and open meadows before reaching a quiet mountain lake tucked beneath rugged peaks. The trail offers incredible wildflower viewing in summer, opportunities to spot wildlife, and expansive views back toward the Spanish Peaks and Lone Mountain as you gain elevation. The lake itself is a peaceful spot for a quick cold plunge before heading back down. This hike has an elevation gain of about 1,400-1,700 feet and is dog-friendly!
