Sphinx Saddle to Sportsman’s | 11 miles | Hard
Back by popular demand! The Sphinx and Helmet Saddle hike is one of those classic Madison Range adventures that’s challenging in all the right ways and absolutely worth the effort. The trail climbs through wildflower-filled meadows and rugged alpine terrain before reaching the saddle between Sphinx Mountain and Helmet Mountain, with sweeping views of the Madison Valley and surrounding peaks the entire way. Following our hike, we’ll head to Sportsman’s in Ennis for a well-earned lunch hosted by Brian and Janice Sprague! On this hike you will gain 2,700 feet of elevation and dogs are welcome!
