In consideration of voluntary participation with the Pattison Lake Association (PLA) including work projects, volunteer activities, meetings, and social events, I am aware that work associated with the PLA involves certain risks of physical injury or death, and severe social and economic losses which might not only result from one’s own actions, inactions, or negligence, but also from the action, inaction, and negligence of others, or the condition of any equipment used.
Being fully informed of these risks and consideration of my being allowed to participate in the volunteer program, I assume all risk of injury, damage and harm to myself arising from such activities or use of sponsoring jurisdiction(s) or individual(s) facilities and equipment. I also herby individually and on behalf of my heirs, executors and assignees, release and hold harmless the sponsoring jurisdiction(s), its officials employees, volunteers and agents and waive any right of recovery that I might have to bring a claim or lawsuit against them for any personal injury, death or other consequences occurring to me arising out of my volunteer activities, except for those caused by the sole negligence of the sponsoring jurisdiction. I understand I will be volunteering my time on these projects and will not be compensated monetarily or otherwise by the PLA or event sponsors.
