The purpose of the interview is to place the contestant in a situation where they answer different types of questions and are judged on how they react and respond. The content of the answer is important, but even more important is how they convey that answer. Eye contact with all judges is very important, not just the judge who asked the question. The contestant should answer the judges’ questions and not get involved in seeking the judge’s opinion. The contestant is judged on the presentation of their thoughts. The contestant should look comfortable in properly fitted attire, but not to the point of sloppiness. The interview category should last no longer than 7 minutes.
Eveningwear
Fit of the gown/suit: 0 to 50 points
Looks (makeup, hair, jewelry, etc.): 0 to 25 points
Modeling: 0 to 25 points
Total possible: 100 points per judge
Eveningwear should be the most elegant look of the night. The gown or suit should fit correctly. Those who choose a suit may wear one that is stoned, but it is not required. The modeling portion will be 90 seconds of freestyle onstage.
Onstage Question
Ability to Communicate: 0 to 25 points
Answer Content: 0 to 25 points
Total possible: 50 points per judge
The emcee will ask a question and give the contestant time to respond to the judges with an appropriate answer.
Talent
Showmanship and Set Design: 0 to 25 points
Choreography (physical coordination and stage presence, including dancers): 0 to 50 points
Quality (lip sync, live vocals, and/or other entertainment): 0 to 50 points
Entertainment Value: 0 to 50 points
Originality and Creativity: 0 to 25 points
Show us what you would bring to the PrideFest stage. We want to make sure our community will be entertained. Please note that we would like the winner to perform their talent at Pride.
Talent should be no longer than 6 minutes. No liquids, fire, or other dangerous items are allowed onstage.

Terms and Conditions
Contestant Representations:
1. Eligibility and Age:
Contestant hereby applies for acceptance as an entrant in the Riverside Pride Royalty Pageant, hosted and sponsored by Riverside Pride.
Contestant attests that they are 18+ years of age by the date of the pageant. If contest is 17 and turns 18 prior to pageant they are permitted to sign-up contingent of proof of birth at pageant.
2. Character and Conduct
Contestant represents that they are of good moral character and agrees to represent Riverside Pride to the best of their ability
Contestant will uphold and fulfill their duties as royalty
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Participation and Representation
• Contestant will participate in and represent Riverside Pride at various Pride related functions throughout their reign.
2. Behavior
Contestant will not engage in the use of illicit and/or illegal drugs
Contestant will not participate in activities that violate the law during their one year reign
Financial obligations
• Contestant has not and will not incur any bill, obligation, or liability on behalf of the Pageant
Liability Waiver
• Contestant waives any claim which they might have against the Pageant or its agents, servants, and representatives by reason of any personal injury suffered during the Pageant rehearsals, or on Pageant night, or while representing Riverside Pride.
Acknowledgement of Responsibility
Contestant acknowledges that they are the responsibility of Riverside Pride at these events
Riverside Pride is proud to have been entrusted with this responsibility and looks forward to a great year
