  • The Council of Ambulance Authorities is proud to offer the 2026 CAA Women in Leadership Scholarship, designed to encourage women to step into leadership roles and support the continued development of emerging and established women leaders within the ambulance sector.

     

    Key Dates

    • Applications open: 29 May 2026
    • Applications close: 6 July 2026
    • Finalists announced: 31 October 2026
    • Winners announced: 19 November 2026 at the CAA Women in Leadership Symposium in Melbourne
  • Eligibility 

    Applicants must:

    • Identify as women
    • Be employed or volunteer with a CAA member service, including operational staff, communication centres, corporate staff, or volunteers.
  • The three scholarship winners will receive a fully funded one-on-one 12-month virtual leadership course valued at over $10,000 AUD. The course can be tailored to the successful applicant.

     

    Selection Process

    Applications will be assessed in two rounds:

    • Initial review by the CAA Secretariat and Women in Ambulance Forum members
    • Final review by the CAA Board, including CEOs from ambulance services across Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea

    • Leadership potential
    • Commitment to professional growth
    • Contribution to workplace culture and the ambulance sector
    • Quality of written responses
    • Demonstrated impact and initiative
