Serendipitous Collage is an online collage course by Phibstuff via Zoom divided into 2 classes, each one with its own dynamics and is perfect for both beginners and experienced artists looking to explore and refine their collage skills. Classes are live on Wednesday July 22th and 28th with two different shifts to choose from.
Class 1
Connor will introduce the history and styles of collage, guiding you through finding your unique artistic voice. He'll share her personal process for organizing materials and documenting work, with a focus on using pre-1980s sources. You’ll learn essential techniques using an X-Acto knife, tiny scissors, and rubber cement. The class includes a 15-minute collage challenge and an interactive discussion on reactive vs. constructive practices.

Class 2
Dives into advanced techniques like splicing, tucking, and edge drawing. Connor will discuss overcoming perfectionism in collage and demonstrate how to incorporate pressed flowers. You’ll learn constructionist techniques, including creating shadows and manipulating perspective. The session concludes with a multi-source collage project and a class discussion.

Each session lasts 2 hours. The cost is $85 for both 2-hour online classes, with recordings access afterwards. Payable via PayPal.
