    PRICE PER POUND TO SPRINGHERD FARMS

     

    ​Quarter - $5.25/lb. (split with another quarter customer includes cuts from both the front and back of the beef side - limited cut choices.)


    Half - $5.00/lb. 


    Whole - $4.75/lb. 

    Your cost is based on the hanging weight of your share per pound:

    Ex: A half weighs approximately 320 - 350 pounds, but may vary depending on the animal. 

     

     SLAUGHTER & PROCESSING FEES TO THE BUTCHER

     

    Butcher: North Fork Packing - Oso WA. (see more details on website)

    Butcher Cut & Wrap Fees:* Updated June of 2026

     $1.25 per pound hanging weight (inc. tax, disposal, specialty cuts)

    Butcher/Harvest Fee:

    $170 Whole / $85 Half / $42.50 Quarter 

    Offal: $1.25 /lb. (Liver, tongue, heart, spleen...wrap and storage)

    Additional Information:

    You can expect approximately 60% of the hanging weight of your share to be cut and ready to fill your freezer.

    A 350 lb hanging weight = approx. 210 lbs take home beef. 

    The amount of ground beef available for each share depends on the cuts you select and the hanging weight. Want more ground beef? Select to have more of the roasts ground (like bottom round). The fat % is determined by the usable fat on the carcas, the only fat being added to your ground beef is from your share. No batch grinding.

    Take home beef cost per pound is approximately $10 - $12 +/-. This includes all of your high end steaks and roasts as well as ground beef.

    Final payment, minus your deposit will be invoiced via QuickBooks and email. Payment can be made online or by mailing a check. 

    North Fork Packing collects cut and wrap fees separately when you pick up your beef at their facility.
