WORK SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: WHAT TO SEND

A cover letter telling us about yourself, your writing or illustration background, and why you wish to attend, including indication of financial need. Please include in this letter a 3-5 sentence summary of your submission.

For young adult or middle grade authors: the first five pages of your manuscript, double-spaced (an additional one-page plot synopsis is optional)

OR, for picture book authors: a complete manuscript, double-spaced

OR, for illustrators and author-illustrators: five illustration samples with an optional complete picture-book dummy or first seven pages of a graphic novel dummy, if applicable.

Include your name, page #, and manuscript title in the footer of each page.
