Housing Agreement
Student Housing Agreement
This agreement establishes the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all participants residing in CMERA-provided housing. By signing this agreement, the participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with all provisions contained herein.
1. Respect for Property
· Treat the residence, furnishings, appliances, equipment, and all CMERA property with care and respect.
· Participants are financially responsible for repairing or replacing any damage they cause beyond normal wear and tear.
2. Respect for Other Residents
· Respect the privacy, personal property, and personal space of all residents.
· Do not use or move another resident's belongings without permission.
· Be courteous and considerate at all times.
3. Room Assignments
· You must remain in the bedroom assigned to you by CMERA.
· Room changes, room swaps, or moving belongings into another room require prior written approval from the CMERA Director.
· Unauthorized room changes may result in disciplinary action, including removal from housing.
4. Housing Term, Check-In, and Check-Out
· CMERA housing is provided beginning Sunday night prior to your first week of attendance and continues through Friday night of your final week of attendance.
· You may check in anytime on Sunday as directed by CMERA staff.
· You must check out no later than 11:00 a.m. on the Saturday immediately following your final Friday in the program.
· Additional nights before your scheduled Sunday check-in or after your scheduled Saturday check-out require prior approval from the CMERA Director and are subject to housing availability.
· Approved additional nights will be charged at $40.00 per night.
5. Visitors
· No visitors are permitted on the property without prior approval from CMERA management.
6. Cleanliness
· Clean up after yourself at all times.
· Wash, dry, and put away your dishes immediately after use.
· Clean any messes you create.
· Do not leave food, dirty dishes, or personal belongings in common areas.
· Be considerate and do not monopolize bathrooms or common areas.
7. Trash and Food
· Do not allow trash to accumulate inside the residence.
· Place full trash bags in the outdoor trash containers.
· Help place trash containers at the curb on collection days when requested.
· Remove and dispose of all food you brought before departure.
8. Departure Responsibilities
· Wash and dry your bed linens.
· Remake your bed with the clean linens.
· Remove all personal belongings.
· Dispose of all food and trash.
· Leave your bedroom and all common areas you used in clean condition.
9. Alcohol and Drugs
· Zero tolerance exists for underage drinking, illegal drugs, or illegal drug use.
· Alcohol is prohibited anywhere on the property, including patios, hallways, parking areas, and pool areas.
10. Additional House Rules
· Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
· No smoking or vaping inside the residence.
· No candles, incense, fireworks, or open flames.
· No pets without written approval from the CMERA Director.
· Do not rearrange furniture.
· Do not adjust the thermostat without CMERA approval.
· Lock doors and windows when leaving.
· Report maintenance or safety issues immediately.
11. Right of Entry
· CMERA management, authorized representatives, maintenance personnel, or the property owner may enter the residence or any assigned bedroom for inspections, maintenance, repairs, emergencies, health or safety concerns, suspected policy violations, or to protect the property or its occupants.
· Except during emergencies or when immediate access is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide advance notice before entering an assigned bedroom.
12. Consequences for Violations
· Violation of this agreement may result in immediate removal from CMERA housing and/or dismissal from the CMERA Summer Program.
· If dismissed, the participant is solely responsible for arranging and paying for alternate housing, transportation, and travel. No refunds will be issued due to disciplinary dismissal.
Acknowledgement
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Housing Agreement and agree to abide by all policies and regulations as a condition of residing in CMERA housing.
