    There will be no workshop sessions held during the week of June 29 due to instructor attendance at the TDA Summit in Las Vegas.

  • Program Overview

  • This program provides professional training for individuals seeking to learn poker dealing in a structured classroom environment.

    Topics include:

    • Professional dealer conduct  
    • Shuffling and pitching mechanics  
    • Chip handling and pot management  
    • Texas Hold'em cash game procedures  
    • Tournament procedures  
    • Pot Limit Omaha  
    • Big-O/Congress (5-card Hi/Lo) 
    • Dealer auditions and evaluation

  • A $100 deposit is required to secure your seat for participants enrolling through a Payment Plan option. Participants paying tuition in full are not required to pay a deposit. However, if a participant paying in full requests cancellation or withdrawal before the start of Week Two of the program, a $100 non-refundable retainer fee will be retained by Texas Gaming Institute.

  • Refund Policy

  • Due to limited workshop seating:

    • Deposits of $100 are non-refundable
    • Tuition may only be refunded prior to the start of Week Two
    • Participants who paid tuition in full and request a refund prior to Week Two will receive a refund minus a $100 non-refundable retainer fee
    • No refunds will be issued after Week Two of the program begins
  • Employment Disclosure

  • Texas Gaming Institute provides professional dealer training and educational instruction only. While we help participants develop industry skills, networking opportunities, and career readiness, completion of the program does not guarantee employment. All hiring decisions are made independently by individual poker rooms and gaming establishments.

  • Code of Conduct

  • Students must maintain professional conduct.

     Students may be removed from the program for:

    • Disruptive behavior
    • Harassment or discrimination
    • Dishonesty or cheating
    • Substance use during class
    • Failure to follow instructor direction

     Removal from the program does not guarantee a refund.

  • Liability Waiver

  • Participants understand that poker dealer training may involve repetitive hand motions, extended periods of standing, and other physical activity associated with live game operations. By participating in the program, participants voluntarily assume all risks related to training activities and release Texas Gaming Institute, its instructors, staff, and host facilities from any liability for injuries, discomfort, or damages that may occur during participation in the workshop or related activities.
