Bickford and Sinclair Intersection Improvements Petition

We, the undersigned, request the City of Snohomish to expedite plans to improve the intersection at Bickford and Sinclair Avenues. Since the construction of the Costco, and the influx of new residents in the area, this intersection has become more dangerous, slow, and difficult to use for drivers attempting to turn either direction onto Bickford Avenue. A 2014 study found that drivers spent an average of 67 seconds at this intersection and projected that wait time to be over 3 minutes by 2035. Unfortunately, we are well on track for this prediction. Numerous accidents per year occur at this intersection. We respectfully request the City of Snohomish to begin feasibility and design on an improved intersection, such as a roundabout or traffic signal.
