The 2026 ISSU Skills Academy for Future Leaders will take place on July 21st, 22nd & 23rd.
Due to high demand this is an application to register your interest. This form will close on Friday, June 26th 2026. Spaces are not guranteed.This event is open is all second-level students' who wish to gain leadership and activism skills.
The event will be hosted in-person in Dublin. It will take place between Liberty Hall in Eden Quay and the Fórsa Trade Union building. There will be accommodation provided for approximately 20 of the participants, to allow access to the event for students from all around Ireland. These spaces will given on the basis on need and distance. There will also be extra spaces for students living Dublin and surrounding-area, who may participate in the event and travel home each evening, after the workshops.
The event will feature guest speakers and facilitators, covering the most pressing themes for student activists in Ireland today. It will allow students to learn about change making skills, the importance of Trade Unions and how to make real change in their communities to name just a few.
All food and accomodation* will be provided free of charge. However, last minute drop-outs and no-shows may become liable for the cost of their entry.
*Any student allocated overnight accommodation will receive an acceptance pack that will have to be submitted to ISSU before they will be permitted to attend the event. Students who are not allocated residential status will not be eligible for ISSU accommodation, and therefore, will not be eligible for any accommodation booked privately to be reimbursed.
